Preface: On January 11, 2025, the Second Hand Rose Band held a themed concert “Welcome to Northeast China” in Changchun. They made a breakthrough in stage design and construction by using robotic arm particle 3D printing technology. This is the first time in the country that similar technology has been used for stage design presentation, presenting users with a highly distinctive visual feast. Stage design presentation: Can 3D printing become a new choice in manufacturing?

The modeling of traditional dance art is usually presented by foam carving, which is low in cost, fast in processing, and more convenient for transportation. Its disadvantages are poor strength, poor fire resistance, poor environmental protection, relatively poor presentation of details, and lack of choice of materials.

The advantages of robot arm pellet 3D printin: It has extremely high production flexibility and can be used for large-scale non planar printing molding. In this stage, the large and small circular rings are printed on curved surfaces and cut divergently along the circular dots, making each individual part similar to a fan-shaped block manufacturing, and finally assembled into a shape. The maximum diameter span of the entire circular ring reaches 16 meters.

The advantages of pellet 3D printing are: it has a very rich material selection, and the cost of particle materials is relatively lower than that of wire. For this stage presentation, recyclable, high transparency, and flame-retardant materials were selected for production.
